Colonial Shutters are available in both standard and impact.  They provide a flattering, fold-back option that enhances a home’s architectural design. Colonial shutters close in front of the window opening and are secured with locking and flutter bars. Shutters manufactured using the patented blade with the integral backing provide wind and impact protection.  They can be manufactured with an optional see-thru perforation. This feature allows light to pass through which provides limited visibility. In the closed position, standard-blade Colonials provide security to the opening but do not deliver wind load or impact protection.

Impact Colonial Shutters are aluminum shutters that are engineered and fabricated to provide strength, durability, beauty, protection, and ventilation. All shutters are fabricated from aluminum extrusions and utilize stainless steel hardware. The shutters are designed to resist hurricane wind loads of 150 mph.  Colonial shutters are available in a wide range of standard colors and can be custom color matched to your project as well.  Paint is applied with hand-held electrostatic spray paint applicators that ensure complete coverage.
